Imagination Unleashed

I want to introduce myself and explain how I came up with the idea of creating children's books. I have low vision, and not every children's book is created equal in terms of having large print. There are some books that I can read, but they get old, and my children want new books to read, but they'd pick ones I couldn't read because the font was too small. It was frustrating for me as i wanted to give my kids the simple pleasure of reading a book but i couldn't, so i begin making up stories from my own imagination and they loved it and because there was no print to read or story to follow i could make up stuff as i pleased and changed the stories how i saw fit depending on the situation and mood that evening before bed.

I have never done something like this before; this is quite the undertaking, and I'm learning a lot as I go, but I'm excited to bring these stories to life and share them with you and your family.

Below, I have summarized how the process works;

Low vision inspired a shift from reading existing books to creating original, imagination-driven stories tailored for bedtime:

  • Spur for Storytelling: Struggling to read printed text and pages during bedtime reading made relying on traditional children's books frustrating. Creating custom stories allowed storytelling to continue naturally without needing to decipher fine print.

  • Focus on Imagination: Because stories weren't bound by written text on a page, they could be spun directly from the imagination, turning visual limitations into creative freedom and vibrant world-building.

  • Shared Connection: What began as an inventive, practical solution to connect with children at bedtime grew into a broader collection of magical stories designed to spark curiosity and joy for other families.
